Below is a copy of the 2002 Newcastle Disability Forum Pathway Hazard report circulated to various arms of Newcastle City Council and Northumbria Police.

Since the original circulation of the report NDF are delighted with the response by Newcastle City Council officers who have contributed to some of the examples detailed in the report being removed as well as generally responding in their appreciation of inclusive highway design.

We have been asked by the Council that anyone experiencing the sort of difficulties highlighted in the following report or highway/pathway maintenance problems should in the first instance report them to Neighbourhood Services Envirocall, telephone 0191 274 4000 link

Parking obstructions not involving Council vehicles are currently a matter for the police.
